Can I book directly instead of through Airbnb or Vrbo?

Yes — that is what this site is for. The house is listed on both, but the booking form below goes straight to us, and booking direct means you avoid the guest service fee those platforms add at checkout. We are happy to answer questions before you commit.

What can I do from the dock?

Swim off the end, or take out the kayak or the paddleboard — there is one of each for guests. Menantic Creek is shallow and tidal, so it is a place to paddle and swim rather than to keep a boat. The powerboat pictured on the dock belongs to the owners and is not available for guest use.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are welcome. Let us know what you are bringing when you book. Assistance animals are always welcome.

Is the pool heated, and is it available year-round?

Yes on both counts. It is a heated spa pool in a hedged garden alongside the cedar sauna, open year round, and it warms up further to a hot tub for the evenings.

How many cars can I bring?

There is free private parking at the house for two vehicles, plus an EV charger on the property.

Is there a television?

No — deliberately. There is fast wifi and a dedicated workspace in two of the bedrooms, a piano on the landing and a wood-burning fireplace downstairs.

What is the check-in process?

Self check-in, any time after 4:00 PM. Detailed arrival instructions and a guide to the house go out before your stay. Checkout is by 10:00 AM.

Is the house good for families with small children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bedroom three is on the main level, and there is a pack ’n play, fireplace guards and a cupboard of board games. The backyard is fully fenced. Do be aware the property is on the water and the pool itself is not separately fenced — it has an automatic safety cover and door alarms, but children need supervision outdoors.
